Description

Wide body 1965 Shelby AC Cobra replica. Need to clear garage space for another toy.

THE GOOD: The wide body replica is a very rare version to find. Runs great, brakes work fine, and head lights/brake lights/tail lights work. Engine is a carbureted 460ci big block that sounds like an absolute beast with the chrome side pipe exhaust. Transmission is a 3sp auto that shifts flawlessly. Both came out of a late 70s Lincoln Continental, but the car was built in the late 80s. Tires and engine belts are brand new! Fresh alignment, oil, and coolant. Newer Deka battery from summer 2021. Vacuum, voltage, tachometer, and speedometer gauges all work. Comes with snap in cockpit cover. Rare front/rear chrome bumper options which really make it pop. Seats and steering wheel are wrapped in leather. Street legal and has antique license plate, no inspection sticker required. This model is longer and wider than standard spec Cobras and is made to accommodate taller drivers, when compared.

THE BAD: The paint is ok but could be better. Clear coat has peeled off in some areas (see pics) and there are some scratches. It leaks a little oil when sitting in the garage for a bit, like most old cars. Fuel gauge doesn't seem to work. Although the brakes work fine, they don't stop like Brembos. The interior door handles don't work, but it's not a big deal because you can easily reach the exterior handles to open. True mileage unknown, but it runs well

This widebody example is how these cars should've looked all along. Must see to appreciate. $49,500 takes her, but open to reasonable offers.
